Shadow Effects

Add depth and visual polish to your widgets with shadow effects. Popup supports both form-level shadows (on the widget container) and text-level shadows (on individual text elements).

---

Form Shadows

Apply a shadow to the entire widget container — this makes pop-ups and scroll boxes appear to float above the page.

  1. Open the Widget Editor and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to Shadow effects and click Add Shadow.
  3. Choose from the built-in shadow templates or create a custom shadow.

Customization Options

  • Color — set the shadow color and opacity.
  • Layers — add multiple shadow layers for complex depth effects.
  • Inset / Offset — toggle between an outer shadow (offset, the default) and an inner shadow (inset) for an embedded look.

To remove a shadow, click the bin icon next to it.

---

Text Shadows

Apply shadows to individual text elements for emphasis, readability over images, or decorative effects.

  1. Click a text element in the editor.
  2. Open Shadow effects and click Add Shadow.
  3. Choose from built-in templates organized by style:
  • Basic — subtle depth behind text.
  • Colored — shadow in a contrasting or complementary color.
  • Glowing — soft light effect radiating from the text.
  • 3D — layered shadows that give text a three-dimensional appearance.

Combining Multiple Shadows

You can stack multiple text shadows on a single element. Each shadow is applied in order, and combined they can create effects that no single shadow could achieve — like a glowing 3D headline or a multi-color outline.
