Pageviews FAQ

This article explains how pageviews are counted in Popup and how the usage system works.

How Pageviews Are Counted

A pageview is registered when a widget actually displays to a visitor. Simply having a widget installed on a page does not count -- the widget must render and be visible.

For inline widgets, the pageview is counted when the widget is scrolled into the browser viewport, not when the page loads.

Multiple Widgets on One Page

If a page has multiple active widgets, only one pageview is counted per page load, regardless of how many widgets display.

Monthly Reset

Pageview usage resets on the 1st of each month. Unused pageviews from the previous month do not carry over.

Usage Warnings

You will receive a warning notification when your usage reaches 95% of capacity for the current period.

Monitoring Usage

You can monitor your current pageview usage in the billing section of your Popup dashboard.
