Importing 3rd Party HTML Forms

If your email marketing service provides an HTML embed form, you can import it directly into a Popup widget. This lets you use Popup's display rules and design tools while keeping your existing form's backend processing.

How to Import

  1. Copy the HTML form code from your email marketing or CRM service.
  2. Open your widget in the Popup editor.
  3. Add an HTML Code element to the widget.
  4. Paste your form's HTML code into the HTML Code element.

Assigning Fields

After pasting the code, Popup opens an import dialog where you can map the detected form fields:

  • Popup automatically detects input fields from your HTML code.
  • Assign each detected field to the corresponding Popup field type (Email, Name, Phone, etc.).
  • This mapping allows Popup to track conversions and apply display rules based on the form data.

Additional Fields

Popup may add additional hidden fields to the form to support its tracking and display rule features. Do not remove these additional fields -- they are required for Popup to function correctly with your imported form.

Tips

  • Make sure the original form's action URL is intact so submissions are processed by your service.
  • Test the imported form to verify submissions reach your email marketing platform.
  • You can style the imported form using Popup's design controls, though complex CSS from the original form may need adjustment.
