Drift Integration

Connect Popup with Drift to create contacts, manage tags, and update custom fields from your popups and forms.

Connecting Drift

1. Create a Drift app in your Drift developer account to obtain an OAuth Access Token.
2. Copy the Access Token.
3. In your Popup dashboard, go to the Integrations tab.
4. Find Drift and click Connect.
5. Paste your OAuth Access Token, then save.

Available Actions

When configuring a widget's submit button (On Submit Actions), the following Drift actions are available:

• Create contact -- Create a new contact in Drift.
• Add tag -- Apply a tag to the contact.
• Remove tag -- Remove a tag from the contact.
• Update custom field -- Set a custom attribute value for the contact.

Display Rules -- Targeting Drift Contacts

Use Display Rules to show or hide widgets based on Drift contact data:

• Target visitors by their tags or other Drift attributes.
• Show different widgets to known Drift contacts vs. anonymous visitors.

Visitor Identification

To identify returning visitors from Drift emails, append the contact's email to links:

When a contact clicks this link, Popup recognizes them and can apply Drift-based display rules.
