FAQ

A/B Split Testing

Test two or more versions of a widget against each other to see which one converts better.

Creating an A/B Test

  1. In your widget list, click the three-dot icon next to the widget you want to test
  2. Select A/B Split Test
  3. Enter a name for the variation and click Create Variation
  4. The new variation appears below the original widget in the list

Editing the Variation

Click on the variation to open it in the editor. Make your changes -- adjust wording, fonts, images, colors, layout, or any other element. Save and activate both the original and the variation.

How It Works

The system randomly shows one variation per visitor. Each visitor sees the same variation consistently until 30 minutes of inactivity, after which they may be assigned a different variation on their next visit.

Traffic is split evenly between all active variations.

Making a Variation Primary

If one variation clearly outperforms the other, you can make it the primary version:

  1. Click the three-dot icon next to the winning variation
  2. Select Make Primary

Best Practices

  • Change one thing at a time between variations (e.g., only the headline, or only the button color). This makes it clear what caused the difference in performance.
  • Test in an incognito window to see different variations without your previous assignment persisting.
  • Let the test run long enough to collect meaningful data before declaring a winner.
