Robot — Test Your Bot
Before you publish your bot, test it thoroughly so visitors get a smooth experience. There are two ways to do this.
Preview inside the builder
The built-in preview lets you test directly within the bot builder. Look for the chat preview on the right side of the screen — you can also switch to an inline preview mode in Widget Style settings.
Use the preview to:
- Catch typos.
- Verify your conversation logic.
- Confirm buttons work.
- Check that variables store the right values.
- Assess how accurate the AI's responses are.
A reset button lets you restart the conversation and try again from the top.
Share a test link
For mobile testing and team feedback, share a direct link. Go to the dashboard, find your bot, click Embed, and copy the Public Share Link.
Anyone with the link experiences the bot exactly as a real visitor would — which makes it especially useful for checking how the bot looks and behaves on mobile.
Testing checklist
Run through these checks before publishing:
- Button-based bots — test every path and confirm each message displays correctly.
- AI bots — submit 10–15 of your common FAQ questions, and try a few edge cases.
- Lead collection — confirm that submitted form data shows up in the Responses section.
- Widget appearance — verify the styling holds up across devices.
