ToolkitSuiteRobotRobot — Test Your Bot

Robot — Test Your Bot

Before you publish your bot, test it thoroughly so visitors get a smooth experience. There are two ways to do this.

Preview inside the builder

The built-in preview lets you test directly within the bot builder. Look for the chat preview on the right side of the screen — you can also switch to an inline preview mode in Widget Style settings.

Use the preview to:

  • Catch typos.
  • Verify your conversation logic.
  • Confirm buttons work.
  • Check that variables store the right values.
  • Assess how accurate the AI's responses are.

A reset button lets you restart the conversation and try again from the top.

For mobile testing and team feedback, share a direct link. Go to the dashboard, find your bot, click Embed, and copy the Public Share Link.

Anyone with the link experiences the bot exactly as a real visitor would — which makes it especially useful for checking how the bot looks and behaves on mobile.

Testing checklist

Run through these checks before publishing:

  • Button-based bots — test every path and confirm each message displays correctly.
  • AI bots — submit 10–15 of your common FAQ questions, and try a few edge cases.
  • Lead collection — confirm that submitted form data shows up in the Responses section.
  • Widget appearance — verify the styling holds up across devices.
