Identity is one of six pods in the Framework pillar. Each course in this pod builds on the one before it.

A business without an identity is just an idea with a to-do list. Identity is where your business becomes something people can see, recognize, and trust. This pod covers the legal formation, naming, and visual design work that gives your business a face in the world.

This is not about perfection or spending months on branding exercises. It is about establishing a professional, consistent presence that signals credibility from day one. You can refine everything later as you learn what resonates with your market. But you cannot operate without a name, a look, a legal structure, and a voice. This pod delivers all four.

What You'll Learn

  • LLC Formation -- Walk through entity formation step by step with no legal jargon. You will choose the right structure for your situation, file the paperwork, get your EIN, and set up a dedicated business bank account. Legal protection and tax clarity, done and off your plate.
  • Business Naming -- Learn the principles of effective business naming and apply them to generate real options. You will test candidates for domain availability, social platform availability, and trademark conflicts, then select a name that works for your market and scales with your vision.
  • Logo Design -- Create or commission a professional logo that works at every size and in every context. You will learn what makes a logo effective, how to brief a designer if you hire one, and how to evaluate the results even if you have zero design background.
  • Brand Guidelines -- Document the rules that keep your brand consistent across every touchpoint. Colors with exact hex codes, fonts with usage rules, spacing conventions, and tone guidelines. When these are written down, everything you produce reinforces the same identity.
  • Visual Identity -- Extend your brand beyond the logo into every visual surface your audience touches. Website design direction, social media templates, document formatting, and presentation slides all get unified into a cohesive visual system that looks intentional.
  • Brand Voice -- Define how your business sounds in writing and speech. Formal or casual, technical or plain-spoken, bold or understated, warm or direct. Your brand voice guide ensures that every email, post, and page reads like it came from the same source, whether you wrote it or someone else did.
