Metrics — Financials Training Pod
6 courses covering Profit, ROI, Insights and more
Metrics
Metrics is one of six groups in the Financials pillar. Each course in this group builds on the one before it.
You cannot improve what you do not measure. Metrics is where you build the
financial measurement systems that tell you whether your business is actually
healthy -- not just whether revenue is up or down. Most entrepreneurs track
too few numbers or too many. This group teaches you to track the right ones
and make decisions from them.
Financial intuition is valuable. Financial intuition backed by data is
unstoppable.
What You'll Learn
- KPIs -- How to identify and track the key performance indicators that
actually predict business success. You will select a focused set of
financial KPIs for your specific business model and learn to read them as
early warning signals, not lagging scorecards.
- Financial Dashboards -- How to build a dashboard that shows you business
health at a glance. You will design a financial dashboard that pulls
real-time data into a format you will actually look at daily -- simple,
visual, and built for decision-making.
- Profitability Analysis -- How to understand where you actually make money
and where you lose it. You will analyze profitability by product, service,
customer segment, and channel -- uncovering the hidden money pits that
revenue growth alone cannot reveal.
- Unit Economics -- How to break your business down to the single-unit
level and know if the math works. You will calculate the cost to acquire,
serve, and retain one customer -- then use that number to determine whether
scaling your current model will build wealth or accelerate losses.
- Benchmarking -- How to compare your financial performance against
relevant industry standards. You will learn to find and use benchmark data
that gives you context for your numbers -- so you know whether your margins,
growth rate, and costs are strong or need attention.
- Data-Driven Financial Decisions -- How to use your metrics to make
confident calls on spending, hiring, pricing, and investment. You will build
a decision-making practice that starts with the data, accounts for context,
and leads to faster, better financial choices.
