Personal

6 courses · part of Foundation (Assess)

Personal is one of six pods in the Foundation pillar. Each course in this pod builds on the one before it.

Before you pick a business model, before you write a single line of copy or register a domain, you need to answer the question most entrepreneurs skip entirely: what kind of life am I actually building this for?

This pod exists because businesses that ignore the person behind them eventually break. Either the founder burns out, the model demands more hours than they have, or the business succeeds on paper but makes them miserable. Personal is where you get honest about who you are, what you need, and what you are genuinely willing to trade. These six courses build a personal operating system that every decision in your business can be measured against.

What You'll Learn

  • Self-Assessment -- Take an honest inventory of your strengths, blind spots, working style, and default patterns. You will map the raw material you are starting with so nothing downstream is built on assumptions about who you wish you were.
  • Lifestyle Design -- Define the non-negotiables: income floor, schedule boundaries, location flexibility, family commitments. Your business will be shaped to fit inside these constraints, not the other way around. This is the blueprint everything else must honor.
  • Energy Management -- Identify when you do your best work, what drains you, and how to structure your days so the business gets your sharpest hours instead of your leftovers. You will build a weekly energy map that becomes your scheduling foundation.
  • Risk Tolerance -- Quantify how much financial, emotional, and time-based risk you can actually absorb right now. This is not about being brave or cautious. It is about being accurate so you make commitments your life can sustain.
  • Personal Values Alignment -- Clarify the values that are non-negotiable in how you operate, who you work with, and what you sell. Misalignment here is the number one reason people quit businesses that are actually working. You will build a values filter you can apply to any business decision.
  • Life-Stage Planning -- Account for where you are today and where you will be in 2, 5, and 10 years. A business that fits your life at 28 with no kids looks very different from one that fits at 42 with three. You will design for the life you are moving toward, not just the one you have now.

By the End of This Pod

  • A written personal operating document that defines your constraints, energy patterns, values, and risk capacity
  • A lifestyle blueprint with clear boundaries your business model must fit inside
  • An energy map that shows your peak hours, drain triggers, and ideal weekly rhythm
  • A decision filter you can use for every major choice going forward: does this move me toward or away from the life I designed?
