Capital — Financials Training Pod
6 courses covering Funding, BuyBack, Priority and more
Capital
Capital is one of six groups in the Financials pillar. Each course in this group builds on the one before it.
Making money is step one. Allocating it wisely is what separates businesses
that grow from businesses that stall. Capital is about the strategic deployment
of your financial resources -- deciding where every dollar goes to produce the
highest return. This is CEO-level financial thinking.
Most entrepreneurs either reinvest everything and starve themselves, or take
too much profit and starve the business. This group teaches you to find the
balance and invest with intention.
What You'll Learn
- Reinvestment Strategy -- How to decide what percentage of profit goes
back into the business and where. You will build a reinvestment framework
that allocates capital across growth initiatives, operations, and reserves
based on your business stage and goals -- not impulse.
- Funding Options -- How to evaluate and access capital beyond your own
revenue when growth demands it. You will explore bootstrapping, debt, equity,
grants, and revenue-based financing -- understanding the true cost and
tradeoffs of each so you choose wisely if the time comes.
- Capital Allocation -- How to distribute resources across competing
priorities. You will learn to evaluate capital requests -- new hires,
equipment, marketing spend, technology -- using a framework that ranks them
by expected return and strategic alignment.
- ROI Analysis -- How to measure whether an investment actually paid off.
You will build ROI analysis skills for evaluating past spending and
projecting future returns, so every significant financial decision comes
with a clear expected outcome and a timeline to measure it against.
- Asset Management -- How to manage the tangible and intangible assets your
business owns. You will inventory your business assets -- intellectual
property, equipment, digital assets, customer lists -- and develop strategies
for maintaining, protecting, and maximizing their value.
- Growth Financing -- How to fund major growth moves without jeopardizing
financial stability. You will design a growth financing plan that matches
funding sources to growth initiatives, with guardrails that prevent
overextension and clear milestones that trigger next-phase investment.
