Getting started with your DirectoryReview

Your review is done from the inside of your directory, using your real listings, plans and inquiries. Two things get it started: giving us access, and answering a short set of questions about what your directory is for.

Step 1: add us as an admin

We need to be able to see your directory's admin area. We never ask for your password.

  1. In your directory admin, go to Settings, then Admin Accounts.
  2. At the top right, open Add New Administrator and choose Invite Admin via Email.
  3. Invite support@directorytoolkit.com.
  4. Open the Role dropdown, choose Full Access, and send the invite.

This takes about a minute. Nothing else in your review can start until it is done.

Step 2: answer the questions

Your onboarding also includes a short worksheet. Its answers tell us what your directory is meant to do, which makes the review sharper.

  • Answer what you can and save. Partial answers help.
  • You can come back and add to your answers.
  • The questions are not required for us to begin, but they help.

What happens next

We give the questions a window of about two days. After that we proceed with what we have. If more answers arrive while we are still working, we fold them in as far as we can. Once we start building your review, late answers may not fit in cleanly.

First time signing in

The first time you open your onboarding, use the sign-in link in the email we sent you. After that you can reach everything from the Review Access link in the menu at the top of any DirectoryReview page.

If anything here is unclear, use Ask a Question.
