๐Ÿงญ Choosing the Right Consultation Length

How to Select the Best Call Duration for Your Needs

Booking the right amount of time for your consult helps ensure we can focus, solve, and strategize without feeling rushed. Below is a breakdown of each session length, what it’s best suited for, and example use cases to help you choose confidently.

๐Ÿ• 30-Minute Call

Quick Focus. Fast Progress.

This short session is ideal for single-topic discussions or quick decision-making support. It’s a good fit if you know exactly what you need to ask and don’t expect much back-and-forth.

Best for:
– Validating one specific idea or direction
– Clarifying next steps for a small task or pivot
– Reviewing a quick draft or deliverable
– Asking follow-up questions from a prior consult

Note: Not ideal for multi-topic conversations or layered strategy. If there’s any chance the topic might expand, consider booking 60 minutes instead.

๐Ÿ•‘ 60-Minute Call

Focused Clarity. Forward Momentum.

A full hour gives us time to unpack context, explore options, and co-create a solid plan. It’s ideal for moderate complexity or for walking through 1–2 connected topics.

Best for:
– Working through a mid-sized decision or project (e.g. email strategy, offer outline, directory rebrand)
– Reviewing several content elements or pages together
– Aligning on a short-term growth plan or launch next steps
– Auditing or improving a specific feature or system in your directory

๐Ÿ•’ 90-Minute Call

More Space. More Strategy.

This extended session allows for deeper exploration, creative brainstorming, and multi-part planning. We’ll have enough space to work across different areas without rushing.

Best for:
– Planning a multi-week campaign or content series
– Discussing business model refinements or partner strategies
– Reviewing multiple funnels or tech configurations
– Mapping out the next 30–90 days of your growth or optimization plan

๐Ÿ•“ 120-Minute Call

Time to Think. Room to Build.

This is the best choice for full-system reviews, big-picture planning, or intensive setup help. We can cover multiple domains and leave you with a well-integrated strategy or implementation framework.

Best for:
– Strategic quarterly or annual planning
– Reworking your full directory structure, categories, or monetization paths
– Deep-dive training sessions or onboarding walkthroughs
– Building out a new offer, content sequence, or internal workflow

โณ Still Not Sure? Book Extra Time When in Doubt

Most clients underestimate how long a consult will take—especially when strategy, tech, or layered decision-making is involved. Please note that if we run over your scheduled time, we may not be able to extend the session immediately due to other appointments.

To avoid being cut short:

  • Book more time if you’re unsure

  • Prepare your questions or materials ahead of time

  • Group related topics together for efficiency

๐Ÿ’ณ Reminder on Time Overages & Billing

Per our Consulting Appointment Terms, if your session runs longer than scheduled, additional time will be billed at your standard hourly rate. This overage will be automatically charged to the credit card on file in your DirectoryToolkit account or invoiced to your registered client email if no card is available.

Sessions that end early are not eligible for refunds or adjustments, so please choose your timing based on what you want to accomplish—not just based on budget.
