My Widgets

My Widgets is where you manage and configure every widget installed on your site. You can turn widgets on or off, control auto-updates, and open the full settings panel to customize how each widget looks and works.

Widget Table

The main table shows every widget installed on your site. Each row includes:

  • Widget name — Click to expand the settings panel
  • Enabled toggle — Turn the widget on or off on your live site
  • Status badge — Shows whether the widget is active, needs attention, or has an update available
  • Auto-Update toggle — When on, the widget updates automatically when new versions are released

There's also a global auto-update checkbox at the top that applies to all widgets at once.

If you have several widgets installed, use the tools at the top of the table to find what you need:

  • Search bar — Type a widget name to filter the list instantly
  • Filter chips — Click a post type to see only widgets for that type: Events, Listings, Properties, Products, Classifieds, Jobs, or Search

Click All to reset the filter and see everything.

Widget Settings Panel

Click the wrench icon on any widget to open its full settings panel. Depending on the widget, you'll see up to four tabs:

Controls what information the widget displays:

  • Show/hide elements — Toggle whether to display the image, title, date, price, description, buttons, rating, or other fields
  • Button text — Customize what the buttons say (e.g., "View Details" or "Learn More")
  • Date format — Choose how dates appear
  • Link behavior — Open links in the same window or a new tab

Every widget has different settings depending on what it does. The toggle switches make it clear what each option controls.

Controls the visual appearance of the widget:

  • Color pickers — Set primary and secondary colors to match your site's branding
  • Design presets — Choose from pre-built color palettes as a starting point
  • Border radius — Round the corners of cards and images
  • Shadow depth — Add or remove drop shadows
  • Typography — Adjust font size and weight

You can start from a preset and then fine-tune individual settings to match your site exactly.

Controls how cards are arranged on the page:

  • Grid or list view — Display widgets as a card grid or a vertical list
  • Column count — Choose how many columns appear in grid view
  • Spacing — Adjust the gap between cards
  • Responsive settings — Control how the layout adjusts on smaller screens

{% tab title="Custom Fields" %}

If you've created custom fields in BD, this tab lets you map them to display slots on your widget cards.

What BD gives you by default: Custom fields exist in your data but don't automatically show on search result cards.

What this tab adds: A mapping interface where you pick which custom fields appear on each card, and where they appear. No code needed — just select the field and the display position.

Changes take effect on your live site as soon as you save. A live preview on the right side of the panel shows what your changes look like before you save.

Presets and Export

The toolbar at the top of the settings panel includes tools for saving and sharing configurations:

Tool What It Does
Save Preset Save your current settings as a named preset you can load later
Load Preset Apply a previously saved preset
Export Config Download your settings as a JSON file (useful for backup or sharing with support)
Import Config Upload a JSON config file to apply settings
Reset to Defaults Undo all changes and go back to the original configuration

Container Widgets

What are container widgets? Container widgets are layout components that control the structure of your post type pages (headers, content areas, footers). They're typically managed by our team during setup, but you can see them listed at the bottom of the widget table for reference.
