Installing Your First Widget

Don't have DirectoryCustomize yet? This guide is for customers who have already purchased a widget. If you haven't purchased anything yet, start at directorycustomize.com to browse available widgets.

DirectoryCustomize widgets are installed by our team — you don't need to touch any code. Here's how the process works from start to finish.

Browse the Catalog

Open the plugin and click the Browse Catalog tab. Each widget listing shows what it does, which post types it works with, and the price. Click any item to see the full description before purchasing.

Purchase

Click the purchase link on the widget you want. You'll receive a confirmation email once payment is processed.

We Install It

After purchase is confirmed, our team installs the widget on your site. Most installs are completed within one business day. You'll receive an email when it's live.

You can check progress any time in the My Account tab — active projects show up there with a status indicator.

Configure It

Once installed, the widget appears in your My Widgets tab. Click the wrench icon to open the settings panel. Depending on the widget, you'll see up to four tabs:

Tab What You Control
Settings What information shows — image, date, price, buttons, etc.
Design Colors, themes, and visual presets
Layout How cards are arranged — grid, list, columns, spacing
Custom Fields Map your BD custom fields to card display slots

Settings auto-save — changes take effect immediately on your live site. No save button needed.
